Adrenal Disorders

This service specialises in patients with adrenal disorders such as Cushing’s syndrome, Conn’s syndrome, adrenal masses, phaeochromocytomas, Addison’s disease and adrenal failure.

We have particular skills in the radiology department which can localise some small adrenal tumours such as Conn’s tumours using selective venous sampling.

Some patients with adrenal tumours require surgical treatment in order to achieve cure. We work closely with our dedicated Endocrine surgeon and experienced anaesthetists to ensure that patients have a streamlined care package. The Endocrine surgical team have specialist skills, particularly in keyhole surgery.
